Cyberselfish by Paulina Borsook (Little-
Brown, (GBP) 14.99)
This will hardly be recommended reading for Bill
Gates et al.
Borsook sets out to have a swipe at the hi-tech
world whose growth shows no signs of abating.
Worshipping at the technology altar has installed
a generation of computer geeks in an omnipotent position, according to Borsook.
Her argument is that this scenario has created a
virtual world in which the reality of humanity is withering and dying.
